Welcome to the Gig was born out of love for New Zealand music at the end of May in 2021. A journey full of adventure and meeting many people in the music industry has lead Welcome to the Gig to become what it is today. Even with a relatively small following, Welcome to the Gig has a valued audience of friends who have supported and helped make magical things happen!

Welcome to the Gig is forever expanding and looking for new New Zealand talent to feature on the website, as well as getting out there and trying new things creatively.

The passion for our beautiful music scene is just ramping up after owner, Ash (Ashlea), has recently returned back to Christchurch after a year and a half of living in the North of England, and she is ready to rock and roll!

Please note: I am open to collaborations with New Zealand artists across the board, however, as Welcome to the Gig is run by one person, I may not always be able to accommodate a review when requested, but I am always willing to offer an alternative to get you featured on Welcome to the Gig.
